Thank you. Installation goes ok now, first start after installation ok, all works fine.

But, when I close the program and want to restart again, all I get is the splash screen and the message 'error'. No further information available, no logs.

Note: this is now on one machine only, but unfortunately it's the PC that we wanted to use for testing ....

Please advise. Do you need system information?

Do you mean, that it works OK on other machines? On which platforms does it works, and on which it doesn't?

Yes, please provide it.
Please try to remove C:\Users\[USER_NAME]\.serna-free-4.2 directory and
restart Serna Free.

currently use Windows XP professional SP3 (Dutch). My home PC with XP SP3 has no problems.

Can it be a Java issue? What system info do you need.

Ok, problem seems to be solved.
I had .NET Framework (versions 1.0, 2.0 and 3.5) installed on my machine, after removing Serna works OK. I don't know however if other programs need this .Net framework. I'm not a developer, and not familiar with these sofware packages ......
