Hi,

I installed the Serna editor, but it won't stsrt. I get an error message, saying :

The application can not start because the configuration is not correct.

I re-installed, but that doesn't help. What can be wrong?

Please could you give us some additional information:
-What Serna version did you install?
-do you use Serna Enterprise or Serna Free Open Source?
-What platform do you use?

Ok, sorry:

- Serna free editor , latest version
- Windows XP SP3

I installed the same on another PC without problems.

This is the event log message:

Resolve Partial Assembly failed for Microsoft.VC90.CRT. Reference error message: The referenced assembly is not installed on your system.

and

Generate Activation Context failed for C:\Program Files\Syntext\Serna-4.1\bin\serna.exe

Thank you. We are fixing this issue now.
As a temporary workaround I might suggest you install Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package which can be downloaded from Microsoft (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...d-074b9f2bc1bf)

ok, thanks. I just installed Microsoft .Net 3.5 , that also fixed the problem.

We have fixed this and preparing the binary to be available. This will happen in a day or two - we need some time for basic QA.
