I just now downloaded and installed the free editor on my Vista PC. When I try to run it, I get the ff. error:

The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log for more detail.

I have no idea where this "application event log" is kept. At any rate, how do I get this running?

Apparently this is the Vista version of the error under Windows XP described in the thread http://forum.syntext.com/syntext-ser...not-start.html, and the work-around is the same: download the "Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package" from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/t...displayLang=en.
