Hi guys, and congrats on open sourcing a free version of your editor.

My question is this:

I downloaded the Enterprise version of your product and registered for an evaluation license which expires on August 20, 2009.

I subsequently found your free offering and was anxious to try it to see if it was enough for my needs. My problem is that no matter what I do with the Enterprise edition: uninstall, delete registry entries, delete the entire directory,

When I deliver Serna Free, it always seems to "find" the registration information and the editor informs me that it will expire on August 20.

Am I doing something wrong? I'm afraid that on Aug 20, the free version will stop working.

Hi,

you should not uninstall Serna, merely change license file in it.

In order to change license do:
1) run Serna
2) call "Help -> Change license" dialog
3) change license there on 'free' one
4) restart Serna

If I do:

all I get is the opening of a file browser.. so I have no idea where the free license may be located. ??
I downloaded this program yesterday from the Mac web site... so I'm hoping I'm using the latest version.
(I don't want to download it again - I'm on dial up. lol)

Well I did discover my version wasn't the most recent.. so have downloaded it (again) and that seems to have sorted that issue..

Hello,
new version of Serna Free differs from Serna Enterprise.
Unfortunately it's impossible to use Serna Enterprise with free license.

In order to try it, you should download and install Serna Free:

Download XML Editor, Download Free XML Editor, XML Editing Tools Downloads | Syntext
